For applications where passing an emissions test is not important, replacing the original catalytic converter with a Milltek Decat/Cat Bypass Pipe will significantly open up the exhaust allowing the biggest potential power gains in combination with the right tuning. Replaces restrictive factory cats. The most restrictive part of any exhaust system is usually the catalytic converter. While these are necessary on a road car, they do restrict flow-rates and increase back pressure. This both reduces the total amount of gas that can pass through the exhaust and slows down turbo spool times. By removing this restriction you can both increase the total amount of air the engine can pump and reduce back pressure behind the turbo which leads to faster spool times and better efficiency.
